Message Area:This
section of the bill will contain a monthly billing message.
Messages may include important information regarding your
telephone, cable tv, or internet service.
Line Information:This
section contains features on your telephone line for which
there are not any charges.
Other Charges and Credits:This
section will only print on a subscriber’s bill that has some
partial charges or credits since the last billing date. The
total amount of these charges and credits will be carried
over to the activity summary section on the right side of
the bill and will be included in Total New Charges for the
month.
Activity Summary:The
activity summary section contains charges from the previous
month’s bill and any payments applied to the account since
the last billing cycle. The Monthly Charges subsection lists
your current charges by type and amount due. Local service,
cable tv, internet, and any telephone features will be included.
The Toll Charges subsection lists all long distance charges
by carrier. Taxes are not included in the listed amounts.
The federal subscriber line charge, 911 charges, and federal,
state, and local taxes are included in the Government Charges.
Total New Charges shows the amount due for the current month
but will not include any previous balances.
Long Distance Carrier:This
area contains your current interlata and intralata long distance
carriers and the date those carriers where selected.
Return Stub:Please
detach this section of the bill along the perforation and
return it to our office with your payment. This stub includes
information needed to post your payment properly. This section
includes the payment delinquent date, billing date, subscriber
telephone number, amount due, subscriber name and billing
address, along with the Griswold Telephone Company’s return
address for mailing of payment.
Toll:All
long distance calls will be listed by carrier, date, and
time on the remaining pages of the bill. Griswold Telephone
Company bills toll calls for AT&T, Iowa Network Services,
and Nishna Valley Toll. If you have chosen a different carrier,
you may get a separate bill for any long distance charges
incurred.
